A New Home

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well. We have had a very busy couple of days. Yesterday, we visited Bothwell Castle. It's the only thing that all the kids enjoy together now. Jack likes the history, Kim enjoys the quietness and Wee Steven loves to climb and explore. There was a mini
trebuchet yesterday which was set up with millions of wee pebbles around it and directed at a holi in the wall. Wee Steven was in his element - he would've stayed and played with it for hours, lol. Sadly, I never had the camera with me, though. We joined Historic Scotland when we were there so today...Linlithgow Palace. I love Linlithgow - it's a beautiful wee town - and the kids love the palace, loch and, of course, the park. So, tonight, I will be lucky if my legs will carry me up the stairs to my bed,lol

Anyway, onto the card. My aunt has just moved into a new home so I made this for her.

I started the card with a Pepper and Friends clear stamp but I don't like the wat it stamps so changed my mind. I have no idea where this one came from - from a lot I bought at a boot sale once...I think...was actually there to sell off all the kids stuff they no longer wanted - don't think I came home with any money though after I found the stamp stand, lol.

Ingredients:
Image - Home and Heart Stamp Collection by Create-It;
Medium - Watercolour Pencils;
Papers - Basic Grey, Green at Heart 6x6 Pad
Tools - Plain and Scalloped Circle Nesties, Cuttlebug;
Punch - Martha Stewart, Pop-Up Butterfly Border Punch.

Challenges:
Stamp With Fun - Sketch from Emmi41;
Stampavie - Butterflies;
Stamp Something - Something Layered;

That's it - I think! Thanks for taking the time to stop by and look. Please leave a comment so I know you've been and I can return the visit.

Also, this lady never fails to amaze me. She gives me constant inspiration and not only in the cardmaking department. It seems to me that she is one of the bravest and kindest people ever, no matter what life throws at her, she comes back at it with a smile and tries her best to cope with it!

So, hop over and show the amazing Jacque some love, check out her fantastic work and find out how to enter this fab candy. Good luck Jacque - I am thinking of you.

Friday Sketchers #97

Hello everyone. I hope you have all been enjoying the lovely sunshiney weather. Saturday was a glorious day and unfortunately, we didn't go anywhere or do anything really. I was decorating the bathroom and then off to my mums to see my sister and her 2 daughters. On Sunday, we went to North Berwick..a wee bit chilly but nice all the same. Jack swam in the sea a bit with his friend, Kieron - they must have been freezing, lol. Wee Steven ventured in to paddle and fell face first...He wasn't impressed with the taste! the older ones went off for a game of putting and me and mum took Steven to the carousel and trampolines...then it was time for an ice cream and home. Yesterday was quite nice too and Jack was going swimming with his friend in the afternoon so me, my sister, Kim and Wee Steven went to the park and for a walk in the woods. Today, I am having a very lazy day. I done a quick whizz round with the hoover at lunch time, some dishes and stuck the washing machine on and...I have spent the rest of the time blogging!!!! Terrible I know, lol.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings. I have been dying to make a card all weekend but Mr Mojo seems to have disappeared. I don't think he's returned proerly yet but I did manage this one. I plannd to use my new stamps I bought last week but it wasn't going to work with the sketch so I chose this one instead.

Image - Sarah Kay 'First Kiss'

Sketch and Stash Challenge

Hello again Peeps! This is my second post for today - don't be too amazed now, lol! This one should actually have been posted last week...and in more ways than one. This is actually the card I made for my Gran for Easter and never sent. You see, my gran was away at the weekend and I was meant to put the card through the door on Sunday night...well, being as tired as I was, I thought I would put it through on Monday since she doesn''t get home till Tuesday! NO! She came home on Monday, lol...So, I'm sorry it's late Gran and hope you like it!

The image is Bumble Bunny - a new digital image from Pollycraft Designs. I have coloured it with copics. The design paper is new also and is MME Quite Contrary. The flowers are punched using the retro flower punches and cardstock from my stash. I have added some card candy from Craftwork Cards to the centres. Pearls are also from stash. The top strip is a Martha double. I have added some pink stickles to the corners of the image. I think the sentiment is a stamp.

I can enter this into the following challenges:

1. Sketch and Stash - Sketch, new image and paper, pearls and cardstock from stash.
2. Fab n Funky - Spring is in the Air
3. Cute Card Thursday - Easter or oval shape ( I went for Easter)
4. Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - Easter

I have also just realised that I entered my box into Digital Tuesday the other day and I hadn't even done anything digital - my brain just isn't with it just now. So...apologies to everyone for that, lol.

Now, Thanks for taking the time to look

Sweet Stop Sketch

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. I am enjoying the easter break just now but, I think it makes me really lazy, lol. Can never seem to get motivated when the kids are on holiday.
Anyway, this card is for the kids to give thier Gran for her birthday tomorrow. I had just bought these new stamps and she likes dalmations so I thought this was a good card.

The image is a Pepper and Friends clear stamp set and is coloured with watercolour pencils. It is then cut out and mounted onto foam pads on a circle which was cut on the Bug with Nesties. The flowers were punched with retro flower punches and some cinnamon stickles added to the centre. The design paper is a double sided one from the Fancy Pants range called Fairytale. The ribbon is from my stash. I have stamped the wee bee from the set and made it look like he has caught the dog's attention - or at least thats what it's meant to look like, lol.

I can enter this into the following challenges:

1. Sweet Stop Sketches - Fabby Sketch
2. My Time to Craft - On the Spot (Dalmation image)
3. ABC - R is for Red
4. Charisma Cardz - Animal Magic
5. Secret Crafter - How Does Your Garden Grow - garden related images

Thansk for taking the time to stop by and look. Please leave a comment if you can so I know you've been and can return the visit

Friday Sketchers

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well. I have had a lovely day out shopping with my mum. It was my birthday on Thursday so I went to Stampaholics in Perth today to do a wee bit of crafty shopping. It was really nice and relaxing and i got some lovely papers, some yummy tilda's and gorgeous Magnolia flowers.
Yesterday we spent the day looking for a vaccuum cleaner for Wee Steven as he had seen Daddy Pig with one on tv and wanted one too - not the upright one he has but a cylinder one, of course, lol. We did also get some nice wee householde things, too.
I am off for a night out tonight - hope fully not as wild as last weeks girls night, lol. Don't think I can manage 2 wild ones in a row.

This card is for Kimberley for her easter. I have used Tilda with chicks coloured with promarkers. The cardstock is from my stash and the wee light purple bit has been through the Bug with the stylised flowers embossing folder. The green paper is a glitter one from Doodlebug. The pearls and ribbon are from my stash. I can enter this into Friday Sketchers since I followed their lovely sketch - had to change the oval though - hope they don't mind.

I am off to get myself all dolled up now and that takes quite a bit of time - I can tell you, lol. Thanks for taking the time to look and for any comments you may leave as I love to read them
