Just Magnolia and a Right Carry On

Hello again all. This is my second post for today. This one should actually have been done on Saturday but I was, as usual, way behind with everything!

I was making a birthday card for my sister an dthought I would follow Jane's fab sketch over at Just Magnolia. Her birthday was on Saturday and I made the card on Friday night, lol! Anyway, I went off on Saturday morning to get my hair cut and then my eyebrows waxed and then Stevens hair cutso...by the time I was done, it was mid afternoon and I still had to add the flowers and phtograph it. Anyway... the just of the story is that I didn't manage to take the photos so I have had my sister take them on her phone and email them to me, which means of course that the photos are very poor quality.

But, I thought that I would show you all it anyway because, I was actually really pleased with the end result:

Told you the photo was awful, lol. Tilda has been coloured with Promarkers and some stickles added to the puddle at her feet. The papers are, once again, Forever Friends - Pink Parfait. The wee pearls are from my stash and the flowers ( have just realised that there's one missing frm the lefthand side - same as the one on the right) are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from WOJ.

So, I can enter this into Just Magnolia - Jane's Sketch, Crafty Catz - White + One Other, and also into Sophisticats - Raining Cats + Dogs.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by - I appreciate it and once again, sorry for the poor photo (and the missing flower, lol).

Cute Card Thursday

Hi again. Another posting from me today - I must have too much time on my hands these days, lol. All the crafting I'm getting done! We are covered in snow here today. It started last night when I went to Tesco and when I came out 20 minutes later, the place was totally white - driving conditions were horrendous. Why is it that even when the council know that it's coming, they are NEVER prepared - they never cease to amaze me!
Anyway, enough of my ranting and raving. Kimberley's P.E teacher is leaving. She was actually a supply teacher in the first place but they all got on really well with her and are all quite sad to see her go. So, I got the wonderful job of the chocolate box!

The wee Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girl is from Funky Kits and is coloured with copics. The papers are Forever Friends Pink Parfait. The cardstock is from my stash as are the brads. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and have lots of Glitter glue added to them. The whole box has been made using my scraps folder!
Here's a wee pic of the box at an angle:

I have lined the inside with hot pink tissue paper and filled it with chocolate truffles:

I can enter this into the Cute Card Thursday challenge where the theme this week is Dimension and Digital Tuesday challenge where the theme is Scrap It.
Kimberley has also made a wee bracelet for the teacher too. So, I hope she likes them both.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and please leave me a comment so I can return the visit.

The papers are from Kimberleys HOTP Cardmakers Pack again - can you tell that I need to tidy my desk, lol! What on earth is happening?

Is it just me or is everyone having problems with Mr Blogger today. I thought I was doing realy well. I managed to make a card in one afternoon and also get all the post done. I even took all the photos...now I just can't get them to upload. aAAAARGH

Hoppy Easter

Hello everyone. I hope you are all enjoying the wonderful weather, HA! This was meant to be a quick post from me today. But, I have been tryinbg to upload my photos since 4.30pm. It's been driving me mad! But, hey ho, working now so I'll get it on quick before Mr Blogger starts to play funny beggars again, lol.
This is only the second easter card I have made this year - I wasn't going to bother sending any but decided against that today.

So, for my card I have used a LOTV image coloured with promarkers and mounted onto the same dp as the base card and then onto some green vellum. The scalloped circle is cardstock from my stash and the dp is from a HOTP Cardmakers pack that actually belongs to Kimberley - but since she hasn't been doing any crafting lately, I wasn't going to let it go to waste! The yellow organza ribbon is from Crafts at Home. The pin is from Tabbycrafts. The flowers were punched from the dp and green vellum with the retro flower punches and I have added wee half pearls to the centres of them and also to each corner of the card. The sentiment was done on the pc.

I can enter this into the following challenges:

1. Friday Sketchers - Lovely Sketch
2. Stamping for the Weekend - Easter
3. Crafty Cardmakers - Spring into Spring
4. Passion for Promarkers - Springtime Creations include an animal
5. Charisma Cardz - Spring has Sprung
6. Paper Play - Easter

The Bunny Hop

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well. We have been busy having a bit of a clearout here. Kim has decided that her bedroom is to babyish and she has got rid of lots of things and bought lots of new things which means...all the rubbish gets dumped for me to sort through!!
So, I have been busy getting rid of all her rubbish and also decided to have a wee bit of a clearout myself whilst I was at it.  I have given the wee girl next door lots of crafty goodies that I know I'm never gonna get round to using and I have lots of space and can find things a bit easier now!
Anyway, onto the card...I used one of my new Lili of the Valley stamps that I got at the SECC the other week.  I have made this for Wee Steven for his Easter.

I followed the sketch over at Lili of the Valley but I didn't want to add flowers so I used some wee punched chicks instead. Not really sure about them but...they're there now and they're staying, lol!

Card Recipe:
Lili of the Valley image;
Promarkers;
MME Quite Contrary 12x12 papers;
Doodlebug Glitter cardstock;
 Ribbon from Stash;
Plain and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities
Cuttlebug;
Easter Chick Punch.

So, I can enter this in the following challenges:
1.  Lili of the Valley - Sketch
2.  Crafty Cardmakers - Spring into Spring
2.  Stamp With Fun - Easter
3.  Passion for Promarkers - Springtime Creations - Include an animal
4.  Charisma Cardz - Something for the Kids
5.  Crafty Catz - Spring
7.  Allsorts - Spring is in the Air
8.  Crazy 4 Challenges - Spring
9.  Pile It On - Furry Friends

Anyway, best go and collect Steven from nursery and then I suppose I should do some housework at some point, ehh!  Thanks for taking the time to look and if you have the time please leave me a comment so I can return the visit.

Lilac and Lemon

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well. A very quick post from me this evening as I am off upstairs to attempt to clean out Wee Stevens toys!  May not be back for a while,lol.
I saw this on the Whiff of Joy Tutorial Blog the other day and I knew that I had to make one for my daughter Kim.  They are just so gorgeous and will just add a wee bit more love to a special gift.

I have used an older Magnolia image, Tilda with Chicks, and coloured her with Promarkers (still practising).  The plain lemon papers is an older one from my stash (don't know the name - possibly a baby boy pack my sister bought for me when Jack was younger).  The flowery glitter one is from Doodlebug.  The lilac card is from my stash.  I have used my new MS Heart Border punch on the flap of the bag and also along the glitter paper on the back. I have left this part on the back unstuck (is that a word, lol) so that I can add a wee gift tag or card if I want to. Thr ribbon is from my stash and I pinched one of my mums new brads from the Hobby House (must invest in some of these).

I can enter this into the following challenges:

1.  Cards and Things - Sketch (turned it upside down)
2.  Papertake Weekly - Lilac and Lemon
3.  A Spoonful of Sugar - Easter
4.  Charisma Cardz - Something for the Kids
5.  The Secret Crafter - Anything goes
6.  The Pink Elephant - Spring

Off to make a start on the pigsty now. Thanks for taking the time to look and please leave me a comment if you have the time.  I love to read what you think and also I love to return the visit

Card For Mum

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well. I am enjoying a wee bit peace and quiet just now...they are all at school and nursery and it is bliss, lol. I should be doing some hoovering but...,it'll still be there later, lol.
This card is the one that I gave to my mum for Mother's Day. Sorry for the poor picture but it was the best I could get.

The image is one that was sent to me a long time ago in a RAK and I have coloured it with watercolour pencils and Twinkling H2Os. I used the Forever Friends Pink Parfait paper pack again and also the MS Lace Doily border punch. The sentiment is handwritten, flower done with retro flower punch and candy from Craftwork Cards added to the centre of the flower and also the bottom left of the card. I have added a swirl which was cut on the Bug with a Bug die. I have also used Kandi's Professional Touch Rhinestone Applicator which I bought for Kim at the craft fair last year and she has hardly used!

I hope all the mothers out there had a fantastic day yesterday and got lots of new goodies. I know I did! I was spoilt rotten and it was lovely, lol. Wee Steven got me some lovely flowers and heart shaped ribbon sliders from Wild Orchid Crafts and also a new Gillian Roberts stamp, 'Baking a Treat'. From Kim I got the MS Heart Border punch I wanted and another Stampavie stamp...a Tina Wenke one this time - 'Mouse in Nutboat'. And, from Jack, a Penny Black Slapstick one I was after - 'Hedgehog Birthday' and he also got me the dinner tray that I wanted. As I said ...spoilt rotten! Thank you very much, Kids - I love it all. I have even spent some of this afternoon adding rhinestones to the ribbon sliders I got - they look quite good.

I can enter this into the following challenges:

1. The Sweet Stop Sketches - fantastic sketch
2. Cute Card Thursday - Celebrations
3. Crafty Cardmakers - Feminine Celebration
Thanks very much for taking the time to look and please leave me a comment if you have the time...I really love to read what you have to say and it means I can also return the visit.

Jacqui has done a fantastic tutorial for a gorgeous wee easter basket on the Whiff of Joy Tutorial Blog and as soon as I saw it, I just had to have a go. Since it's Mothers Day, I thought I'd fill it with some chocolate truffles as a wee extra for my mum but...no I didn't eat them...I just took the pics before I filled it, lol.

I am quite pleased with the result. And, the tutorial was really clear and simple, yet very effective, to make.

Happy Birthday Kimberley

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well. I have had a very busy couple of days. We went off to the SECC on Friday. There was me, my mum, my sister and my brother's girlfriend and we had a great day. I spent way more than I should have but got lots of lovely things...some stamps, new MME papers, cardstock, charms, spacers, beads, beading wire...lots!

My feet were killing me at the end of the day and...I was shattered because I had only had 2 hours sleep the night before - Jack had a sickness bug...BUT...it was well worth it. Not only did we get lots of goodies but we also had the great pleasure of meeting Kath. And, I have to say that she is just as delightful and hilarious in the flesh as she is in blogland. Her and Lorraine. We had a big hug, lots of photos and lots of laughs as well as the fantastic Fiskars demo, lol! Really nice to meet you both and hope to see you at the next show!

On top of all this excitement. It was my daughter, Kimberley's 15th birthday yesterday and we were having a birthday tea for her...and that means lots of work for me! So, I had a mad cleaning spree ... after the mad shopping spree on Friday ... and then we had to go for the cake and all the wee bits and bobs and then make all the food up. Then off to pick my sister and her 2 kids up. Then everyone arrived and lots of laughs were had with all the family together and then...cleaning up time again, lol! I was exhausted so it's an early one for me tonight.

I have managed to make one thing in all this madness though...I made Kimberley a bracelet and earrings to go with the necklace she had bought...the bracelet she had originally wanted was out of stock! She loved them and I was really chuffed because she is very difficult to please at the moment, lol!

And, here's a couple of photos of her birthday. I think that Wee Steven's opening more than her, lol.

Sorry for such a long post but had lots to tell you all tonight. Thanks for taking the time to look. Please leave me a comment if you have the time as I love to read them.

Suzi With Flowers

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well and enjoying the better weather...still cold but at least it's dry for the moment. I feel as though it's ages since I posted anything but I have been very busy. I have been on the lookout for beads and findings and things. I want to do some jewellery making and need some supplies so...if you know anywhere give me a shout.

Anyway, I did manage to make this birthday card. I originally made it for Kim...she'll be 15 on Saturday...for the boys to give her but then Wee Steven has a birthday party on Sunday and he has decided he wants to give this to his friend, Freya. So, better hope I get the time to make Kim another one, lol.

I have used Suzie with Flowers digi stamp from Digistamp Boutique. Love these wee images. I have coloured her with Copics, Promarkers, Distress Inks and Stickles. Lots of colouring mediums for such a small image - that's because I don't have enough copic colours, lol. The papers are Forever Friend - Pink Parfait...I love these papers and can't get enough of them at the moment. The cardstock is Core'dinations. The ribbon is from my stash. The sparkly brads are Artoz and bought from Craft at Home. The flowers are from Hobbycraft. The heart pin was a wee present from my mum and she got them and some flower ones from Tabbycrafts.

I am entering this card into the following challenges this week:

1. Stamp with Fun - fantastic sketch (Loved it)
2. Creative Card Crew - Celebrations (Birthday)
3. Papertake Weekly - Buttons, Bows, Brads and Bling (Any combination - used bows, brads and bling.
4. Simon Says - Mother's Day/Girly (Gone for the Girly option)
