What is it with teenagers?

Afternoon everyone. Another post from me today - I know...shock, horror. I don't post for ages and then you can't get rid of me, lol.

Now, this is actually a gift box to be filled with some chocolates for one of my daughter, Kimberleys teachers who is leaving. And, is it just me or are teenagers a total nightmer when it comes to preparing for anything? LOL! Kim decided on Monday evening at about 11.15pm that she needed a gift box for her teacher for...now wait for it...Wednesday!!!! I suppose it could have been worse - she could have told me last night..although. she would have been just as well to because thats when I remembered, lol.

Anyway, here it is:

Ingredients:
Image: Tilda again;
Medium: Promarkers;
Papers: Papermania - Henbury Lane;
Flowers from a craft fair;
Pearls, ribbon and cs from my stash.

Challenges:
One Stop Craft: Pink and Brown;
Sew Many Challenges: Anything Goes;
Creative Craft Challenges: Stamp It Up;
ABC: X is for Xtra Dimension;

Well, that's it. I am off to collect Jack from school now and then after dinner, I suppose I better get something made for his teacher as tomorrow is his last morning of school and he is getting a new teacher next term...And I say that Kimberley is unprepared...wonder where she could take that from, lol
Thanks for stopping by

WOYWW

Morning everyone. Not got much get up ang yet after my late night last night so thought I'd spend a bit of time in blogland. Was having a hop around and after visiting Kath, decided to join in at WOYWW...since I didn't actually have to move to take part, lol.

So, what's on my desk? All the usual rubbish, lol. A pack of Papermania papers that I have only managed to use once. They are gorgeous papers but not my usual so finding it quite hard to use them. A finished card, a work in progress in there somewhere too, lol. Oh, and a craft knife that I better close...and...all my rubbish from last night that I haven't yet cleared away.

And now, I am off to have a look round everyone else's desks. Thanks for stopping by. Any comments you may leave are greatly appreciated.

New Shoes

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you are all well and getting lots of crafting done since the weather is too bad to go anywhere nice. I went to the Artstamps Scotland fair on Saturday morning and had a lovely relaxing time. I got some new stamps - Wild Rose Studio and Stampasaurus; some promarkers; flowers; buttons; only 1 pack of papers and also some textile medium stuff for decorating fabrics and some opal dust. Not much to show for the money I spent but never mind...it was good fun and I am using the things I bought.

After that we went to the Corstorphine summer fair. It was a gorgeous day but since the fair isonly run every 2 years, it was VERY busy. Lots of LONG queues and moany children who were all hot and bothered...and tired lol.

By the time I got home at 5ish, my feet were killing me. I got up on the bed and lay and watched tv with Wee Steven for a while until I could stand any pressure on my feet then I set to work, lol

I have made a card with one of my new stamps but its a DT card so I can't show it yet. I can, however, show you my...shoes in progress, lol...these are hand decorated with paper napkins and have dried overnight band had opal dust added to the flowers but they still need another coat and more drying before they are finished. Think they will go fab with some summer shorts or dresses. Bright summery colours, lol

Ingredients:
Paper Napkins;
Textile Medium;
Opal Dust;
Plimsoles;
Brush;
Sealer.

Challenges:
Cupcake Craft: Dazzle us (glittered flowers);
My Time To Craft: Wild Thing (flowers);
Papertake Weekly: Fun Fun Fun ( fun in the sun);
Charisma Cardz: Flowers;
Paperplay: Flowers and Sparkle;

I hope you all like them. I think they are a brillaint idea - not sure if anyone would wear them but, nice all the same lol

Thanks for stopping by to look

Sunday, 6 June 2010

Morning everyone. How bad is the weather today? Well, it's bad here anyway. This is a quick post as I am off to pick up a couple of things for my new project. Went to the stamp fair yesterday and got some bits and pieces but I'll tell you all that later.

This is another very quick card. I bought these KanBan sheets a while back as I loved the images and this one has been lying about doing nothing. Well, i have finally managed to make up a card with it. I also wanted to use the wee tag that came with it so, I made up a pair of earrings and added them through the hole of the tag along with a bit pink ribbon.

Hope you like it. Thanks for taking the time to stop by

Black and Red - Crafty Catz DT Card

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well. Still a glorious day here in Edinburgh. Friday today, which means it's time for another challenge over at Crafty Catz. Dianne has chosen the theme of 'Red & Black' this week. Quite challenging for me - not colours I normally use. However, I quite like the end result. Which is amazing actually after all the hassle I had trying to make it.

You would not believe the hassle I had yesterday. First of all, the laptop broke - won't switch on. Think it could be that battery which is about 50 quid to replace. Next, the pc froze and wouldn't do anything. Then when I did finally get it working, it wouldn't read the photos from the camera. I thought, ok, I'll restart it and see if that helps. It froze again. Got it going again and then...the printer wouldn't work!!!!! I was nearly screaming I can tell you. There were quite a few choice words coming out of my mouth. But, finally got there in the end, lol.

Ingredients:
Image: Decoupage sheet;
Tools: Cuttlebug and Star Nesties; MS Punch around the page - Layered Arches;
Sentiment: PC;
Cardstock: Stash.

Challenges:
Simon Says: Father's Day/ Male Card;
Allsorts: Black, White & 1 Other;

Ok, think that's it for today. Be sure and check out the rest of the Design Teams blogs for lots of wonderful inspiration.

Just been checking out all the challenges and realised that I have been awarded top 3 over at Stamping for the Weekend. WOOHOO. Thanks, Ladies - off to pick up my banner now.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit. Please me a comment so I can return the visit. Have a great weekend everyone

Finished bedroom/craftroom and WOYWW

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well. I am well and enjoying this wonderful warm weather we are being lucky enought to have just now. I went to the cinema last night with my brothers girlfriend to see Sex in the City 2 - hilarious, I LOVE Samantha, lol. Even the men that had been dragged along with their partners were laughing.

Anyway, I have finally finished my bedroom - well, apart from clearing out all the rubbish, lol - and have taken a few photos of it. I have also wanted to join in with Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday but never done it before because the room needed decorated. SAnd, I know I'm a day late but...better late than never, lol. So, here's the photos of the room and the photo for WOYWW.

A quick post again because I am off to visit my Gran for lunch and I still have to make my DT card for tomorrows Crafty Catz challenge.

See you again tomorrow
