Lazy Afternoon - Crafty Catz DT Card

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all well. I had a brilliant day yesterday at East Links Family Park. The weather stayed dry and was actually quite warm without being too hot. Wee Steven and all his friends loved it. I had paid for one of the extra spaces for Kimberley because she is on study leave from school at the moment - supposed to be studying anyway, lol - so she came too. Everyone had loads of fun - even some of us mums and dads, lol. Brilliant value for money too.

Anyway, it's Friday today and that means it's time for another challenge over at Crafty Catz. Carol has set the theme for this week and it's 'The Boys Are Back' and here's my card.

Ingredients:
Image: Lazy Afternoon by LOTV;
Medium: Promarkers;
Papers: Quite Contrary Collection by My Minds Eye;
Sentiment: PC.

Challenges:
Lili of the Valley - Bev's Sketch;
Passion for Promarkers: Anything Goes;
Simon Says Challenge: Pink (or Blue) with Green and Brown:

That's it, I think. Now, I have scheduled this post so I hope it works. I must stay away from the pc today and do some of the flooring that is to be laid in the bedroom. I did the first coat of paint on Monday night and since then, I haven't even opened the door. So, I must crack on with it.

Thanks so much for taking the time look and if you have a moment please leave a comment so I can return the visit. Please stop by the rest of the DT's blogs and check out their fab creations and I can't wait to see what you all come up with

Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well and enjoying the glorious weather we have just now. I couldn't believe how warm it was today - washing was out and back in within about 2 hours, lol.

I don't have a card to show today but I did want to show what had been keeping me so busy the last fortnight! My mum, wonderful woman that she, is decided to give her bedroom a lick of paint. Now, since mum has very sore hands and wrists at the moment - they think she has rheumatoid arthritis - what this really means is...Suzanne has to give the room a lick of paint, lol. Not that I mind BUT...what started as a plain and simple job turned into a workathon! AFTER painting, she decided that she wanted coving up - to hide my not so straight paint line. Then she did a feature wall with this gorgeous paper - she did that part! THEN, she wanted a new bed from IKEA. Gorgeous and the flat pack boxes fitted into the car no probs...What she didn't tell me was that it was going to take me 5 HOURS to build the blooming thing!!!!!
So, here's a wee pic until I can get a card made...I am making one in between all this madness but, I can't show them till the end of the week as they are DT cards.

Anyway, That's what I've been doing and I really don't mind because she does lots for me and I actually quite like decorating...so much so that I've now started mine, lol. And, this is what I am faced with this week...

Thanks for taking the time to look. Please leave a comment so I can return the visit

I chose a boys card for this one... I don't make a lot of male cards and they are always handy have around. On your Wedding Day

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well. I am trying to make one card a day at the moment. Wee Steven is at the stage of being quite a tyrant just now and is driving me up the wall so... the best release is to have some craft therapy once he is in bed! And, believe you me, after his antics in Livingston shopping centre yesterday, bed is the best place for him, lol. Anyhoo, today is a new day and all that and here is last nights card. I'm afraid that I may have cheated a bit here...I saw this die cut sheet the other day in my local craft shop and I love the image so I had to buy it. And, I was so tired last night that I just didn't have the energy for stamping and was really glad I had bought it. I'm actually quite pleased with this one - stamped image or not, lol. The only thing I am not pleased with is the blooming pics. No matter what, I couldn't get a decent photo of this one...sorry guys!

Ingredients;
Image, Paper and Sentiment: Kan Ban Die Cut Set;
Ribbon and Pearls: from my stash;
Flowers: Hobbycraft;
Tools: Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder;

Challenges:
Allsorts Challenge: Fabulous Sketch;
One Stop Craft Challenge: Wedding Wishes;
Totally Papercrafts Challenge: Weddings/Anniversary.

Anyway, that's it for today. Apart from my news...which I can't tell you yet...BUT, I am very excited and I don't know how long I can keep my mouth shut for, lol.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and look. Any comments you may leave are greatly appreciated I love to read them and return the visit.

3D Cards Challenge Design Team Card

Good Morning everyone. I hope you are all well. This is my first card as a DT Member for the new 3D Cards Challenge Blog which starts today. We will set a new challenge every second week. This means you have a whole 2 weeks to get your projects made - so no excuses for not joining in, lol. The only rule is that there must be a 3D image on your card...whether that be a stamped image or a decoupage sheet...as long as it's 3D.

So, the theme for the first challenge is PETS...and we have a lovely prize for this challenge, sponsored by Marianne Design. We would like to see you make a card with some kind of pet on it. This was challenging in itself for me because I don't usually do animals. However, I was quite pleased with the way this one turned out in the end.

I have made an easel card and used a decoupage sheet and backing paper I bought as part of a Jolly Nations kit from QVC quite a long time ago now. The pink cardstock is from my stash, as are the 2 wee card candies on the sentiment. The square behind the image has been through the Bug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and you can just see the Martha Stewart Lace Doily punched strip sticking out behind it. The sentiment is from a mini Studio g Clear stamp set (fab at 99p for about 4 sentiments). The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ones that are a bit bigger have been coloured with promarkers - can't make my mind up about the flowers...should they stay or go...let me know what you think.

Here's the front (please excuse the pic...I could not get the pic straight at all):

Here's the bottom part:

I can also enter my card into the following challenges:

My Time To Craft: Toooo Cute;
Stampavie and More: Pink;
ABC: U is for Unused Stash (my Jolly Nations stuff);

Well folks, that's the first one done and dusted. Looking forward to seeing what you all create. Be sure and check out the rest of the Design Teams fab creations too.
Thanks for taking the time to look and I really hope that you can all find the time to join in and support us.

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. I managed to squeeze this card in today in between getting lots of other bits and pieces done. First we had a check up at the Sick Kids for Wee Steven. Then he went to the soft play with Kimberley, her friend and her friends niece for an hour before heading off to nursery (that's when I made my card). Then it was off to the shops for a few things and then down to my mums for tea and to wash the car and clean the rabbits hutch out.

Ingredients:
Image: Bentley Bear Set by Adam Pescott(free from Cardmaking & Papercraft Mag);
Medium: Watercolour Pencils;
Papers: Papermania Rose Garden 8x8Pad and cardstock from my stash;
Flowers: A mix of large and small roses from Wild Orchid Crafts
and paper blooms from Woodware;
Tools: Cuttlebug; Plain and Scalloped Circle Nesties

by Fancy Pants; Frosted Lace and Eucalyptus stickles on flowers and round the image.

I chose Sparkly and Special
