Challenge Combo

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. This is a quick post from me as I am falling asleep on my feet here and I had to post this now or it would never get done.

This one is for Friday Sketchers #75 - Claudia's Sketch and Papertake Weekly - Spots & Stripes.

The image is called 'Harry's Turn' from Mo's Digital Pencil and is coloured with watercolour pencils. The Papers are from a DCWV scrapbook kit in a stack - Winter. These were papers that I had to have and paid way over the odds for - way back in 2006!! The ribbon is from my stash as are the wee sticky gems - couldn't use Kim's toy tonight because she has gone to sleep over at her gran's and taken it with her. Probably just as well...she even 'blinged' the poor dogs collar last night, lol!

Anyway, I am off to bed now. Hope you like it - I am quite pleased with the way this one turned out. I hope my brother likes it too because it's for his birthday on Sunday.

Papertake Weekly - Dawny's Sketch #26

Hi everyone. I hope you are all well. Kids are all back to school tomorrow and...fingers crossed...nursery too. That's been a bit of a nightmare actually. Steven started of fantastic at nursery and then he had quite a bad bump on the head and things went really downhill. At first, he wanted me to stay with him then, he wouldn't go at all. He just kept getting really upset. So, we've had a few weeks off and tomorrow we are going to start from scratch again. He has a Halloween party after nursery in the schol hall so hopefully he will be looking forward to that and will settle ok.
Anyway, over on Papertake Weekly this week, there is another of Dawny's fabulous sketches. The cards from the DT were as always gorgeous and gave lots of inspiration. This one was quite a bit of work but I really like the end result.

The image is Stampavie, a Gillian Roberts design. It is coloured with watercolour pencils. THe snowflake and the circle were cut on the Bug with nesties and the circle put in the snowflakes embossing folder. I have used chalk on the snowflakes and also stickles and, I have used chalks over the coloured image to make it sparkle a bit. The ribbon, papers and sentiment are from my stash. I have used a Martha Stewart punch and I also used Kim's new toy to add lots of bling to the ribbon.

The image is one I just had to have, it is so gorgeous. I just love his trainers sticking out the bottom and Mary reminds me so much of when Kim was in Primary one and she played Mary in the school nativity. Whatever happened to my wee darling, lol!

The snowflake son this card were a nightmare. First they wouldn't cut. Then, when they did...I stickled them at 3pm and they are still flaming wet now!! So, I went to my mum's to 'borrow' one of hers and it was a wee bit like Blue Peter..."Here's one I made earlier"!LOL

Kim's new toy is some sort of gem applicator gun thing - can't remember what it's called - but it's great fun. You pick up the gem, heat it for a wee second and the stick it to anything you like. She was even trying to bling the laptop on Saturday night. I got her it when we were at the SECC on Saturday. Had a great day and bought a few goodies too. Some ribbon, some charms, sticky tape, foam pads, a couple of stamps and some buttons and plaques to make some nameplates. Got Kim's toy, treated myself to a new cross stitch - big but gorgeous ( will take me forever to do it) - and a CuttleKids for Wee Steven - in the hope he'll leave my Bug alone!!!

Anyway, I am off to bed with my book now. I have been playing Guitar Hero on Jacks DS the last few nights and boy...is that game addictive or what...I am in desperate need of an early night.

Hope you like the card

A Spoonful of Sugar - Debbie's Sketch

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well. I have found some time and managed to squeeze in another challenge. This one is for A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge and it was a fantastic sketch by Debbie. I really enjoyed making this one.

I have used the fabulous 'Herb' from Whiff of Joy stamps. I love this stamp - one of my favourites. He is coloured with Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints and watercolour pencils. I have added some stickles to his holly and candy sticks. The paper is from Provocraft - I think. I just know that it was gorgeous - all the swirls and glitter and snowflakes and such a lovely colour. I have used silvor mirror card for mounting, punched the corners of the image and added some wee gems and added some ribbon, all from my stash. The sentiment is one of my mums.

Hope you all like it

Simon Says - A Sketch

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted for ages again. I have just been so busy recently. This card is for the Simon Says Challenge which is a fantastic sketch by Domi. I am having a problem with this one. I thought I would be clever and make a Christmas card since I don't have anywhere near enough of them done yet. However, I am not sure of the end result at all. I have fiddled with it and changed it and played for ages but I just can't seem to get it right so I am leaving it as it is now and it will just have to be ok!

The red dp is called 'Comfy Cozy' by Imaginisce. The blue one is ,Snowflake Swirl by The Paper Company. The stamp is one of the snag ,em stamps by Imaginisce called Hot Chocolate and is coloured with watercolour pencils. The circles and the snowflakes are cut with Nesties on the Bug. The charm buttoms and ribbon are from my stash. I have stickled the snowflakes with Crystal Ice stickles.

Hope you like it

Sketch and Stash and Simon Says

I cannot believe it is a whole month since I posted anything!!!!! Believe it or not...it's a whole month since I made anything...how terrible is that! I have been driven mad with not being able to do anything but you can't do everything and I have been very busy recently and just haven't had two minutes to spare.
The other night, I did manage to get one or two wee things done though and this wee girl was one of them.

My mum bought herself a couple of new stamps and gave me some stamped images to colour. This was one of them. Isn't she just gorgeous? She is one of the new Manga range from Sugar Nellie - called 'Baubles'. I have coloured her with promarkers and added a wee bit gold stickles to her tights. I cut round my image and then mounted with foam pads onto a bit of dp which I have had for ages (got from qvc donks ago). The dp was cut with labels nesties in the Bug. The backing paper is my new stash and I am unable to tell you what it is because I am posting this at my mothwers and I don't have the paper - duhhh! The ribbon is also new and this is American Crafts. I made the wee bow by stitching a few ends of ribbon together and adding a button to the middle. The sentiment is from a little clear set.

I am entering this card into two challenges. The first is Sketch and Stash where I followed the fantastic sketch and used new papers and ribbon. The second is Simon Says Challenge which is 'Red and Green'.

Hope you like it. Thanks for taking the time to visit.
