Colour Combo at CRAFT Challenge

At last, I am back with a card. If any of you have seen my mojo out there could you please send it home. It has taken me all week to make this card. Not that I started it a week ago but I started thinking about it a week ago and I couldn't for the life of me get any ideas.

Anyway, we have a new challenge over at CRAFT and this weeks theme is a Colour Combo and its this one right here...

(Some Bunny Loves Me)

AND

(if you need help getting started, there are some freebie papers with these
colours on Jo's card and on Jo's digistamp blog, but please leave a
comment if you take them and give credit where credit is due, there will
also be a related challenge at her blog if you use any of these papers)

So, this is my card and I didn't use the free papers because once again, my printer is being a royal pain in the ...!

Ingredients:
Image: Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet (free in Papercraft Essentials magazine);
Medium: Promarkers;
Papers: Nitwit Collections and Tim Holtz Cardstock;
Sentiment: same as stamp set;
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts;
Ribbon: Stash.

Challenges:
Sketch Saturday: Fab Sketch;
Papertake Weekly: Bingo (Ribbon, Free Square, Blooms).

Now that it's finally done, I actually quite like it. I am off to sort out my promarkers now, I got a few new ones from Polka Doodles the other day. Talk about a fantastic service... I ordered them on Sunday and I received them on Tuesday morning - and no postage costs either. They are really reasonably priced too.

PInk and Girly...But Not a Card

Thought you might like to see the cake I made for my mum to give to her friend at work. When I asked what the girl liked, mum said 'aw, make up - anything girly really'. So, I went for pink and girly.

An 8" round sponge cake with buttercream filling covered in light pink sugarpaste.  Make up bag, nail polish bottles, lipstick and hair straighteners to decorate all made from sugarpaste.

Hope you like it

Wish Upon A Star...

Hello again everyone. A very quick post from me tonight because I am exhausted, lol. I look after my cousins wee boy who is 18 months on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30 until 1.45pm and he is an angel and no trouble at all but then, I had a cake order today also and then it was time to deliver the cake and then  dinner time. Also, Steven was fitting a new blackout blind in the bedroom tonight...all in the hopes that Wee Steven will sleep a bit past 6am and I can get a bit of a lie in, lol.
Anyway, here is my card for today. I got this new Tilda a few weeks ago and this is the first time I have coloured her.

Ingredients:
Image: Tilda Catching Stars;
Medium: Spectrum Noir;
Papers: First Edition summer Breeze 6x6;
Tools: Cuttlebug and Nesties;
Other: Flower, Charm and ribbon all from stash.

Challenges:
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes;
Simon Says: Add Crowns or Gems;

GDT Card for CRAFT Challenge

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well, things seem to have been mad round here recently and I almost forgot to post this but, luckily I remembered just in time. I was asked to be guest designer for June by the girls over at Craft Challenge and of course, I jumped at the chance. Totally delighted! So here is my first card. And the theme for this week is

'A MALE CARD'

Ingredients:
Image: Humphreys Corner by Crafters Companion;
Medium: Promarkers;
Papers: Portobello Road 6x6.

Challenges:
One Stop Craft: Crowns or Diamonds AND Red, White & Blue;
Secret Crafter: Anything Goes;
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes (optional extra - fathers day or male card);
Passion for Promarkers: Red, White and Blue.

 I have kept this one quite simple because I don't make a lot of male cards and thought I could keep it and add a sentiment or something when I need to use it.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the girls fab work.

Stroppy Beth

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well. I have had quite a busy weekend this week with one thing and another and feel like I have never stopped. We took the kids to Perth on Saturday - they love the swimming pool there. So Steven went in with the boys and his brother and niece and me n mum went for a wander round the town. Then when we got back, it was off to Hobbycraft to have a 'look' at some new Promarkers. And, of course, couldn't leave without buying any as that would be too rude of me, lol. I have to say I love the new blending sets - so easy to work with and this is the first image to be coloured with them.

Ingredients:
Image: Stroppy Beth by Saturated Canary;
Papers: Summer Breeze 6x6 pad (First Edition);
Ribbon and Buttons: Hobbycraft.
Challenges:
 The Secret Crafter: Anything Goes;
Simon Says: Anything Goes;
Crafts and Me: Add a Ribbon.
 I've had this image for ages and never coloured her before but I am really pleased with how she turned out. I might just have to go and get a different one now since they are such a joy to colour. And, of course, this one reminds me so much of my daughter - always in a strop over something. Teenagers, ehh!

On a sadder note, Manny didn't respond to his fluids and antibiotics very well and was also showing signs of stress.  So, we took him back to the vet on Sunday and decided that it was best if we let him be put to sleep. So, at least he is now free from pain.

Friday, 1 June 2012

Hello everyone. Nice to see the sunshine out again - always makes me a wee bit happier. And, I need it today, lol. I am very tired just now and was meant to be having an early night last night but...ended up at the vets with Steven's wee hamster, Manny. The poor wee thing has 'wet tail'. Not a very nice thing to have. The vet gave him some fluids and antibiotics  to see how he gets on but I'm not that sure it's going to work. He is quite lethargic and isn't eating and drinking. Apparently, if he doesn't eat then his gut will seize up and that will be it. Poor wee mite! Oh well, only time will tell.

Anyway, I know that it is very early for this kind of card but, I got the image in my win the other week and just had to use him.

Ingredients:
Medium: Spectrum Noir:
 Papers: NitWit Collections;
Sentiment: Cuddly Buddly Tickets;
Tools: Craft Knife for distressing edges; Cuttlebug and Star nesties.

Challenges:
Crafty Cardmakers: Distress It;
 ABC Christmas Challenge: Keep It Simple;
Fab N Funky: Celebrations;
 Simon Says: Anything Goes (2nd entry);
One Stop Craft: One for the Boys.

So, that's my first (and maybe the only) Christmas card made for this year. I am off to play with my new goodies - The Glitter Pot had some lovely half price stamps on their website - which of course, I just had to have, lo.
