You Passed

Hello everyone. Very very quick post today as I don't feel well this weekend - have caught some kind of lovely bug! This card is for Papertake Weekly - another of Dawny P's fab sketches, Digital Tuesday Challenge where the theme this week is to 'make men laugh' and also for the Fab'n'Funky challenge where the theme is 'to use any digi image or sentiment'

The image is a digi from The Stamping Boutique, called AJ the Racing Driver and is coloured with copics. The papers are from a Nitwits download - one of the first ones I bought - called Beep Beep. There is actually a border strip behind the image with lots of different road signs on it but you can't see it very well. The sentiment is done on the pc.

A wee bit paper and a 'congrats' for the inside.

I would also like to enter this into the new challenge blog which is starting on 18 Feb - 'I Love Digi Challenge'. They are having a dsign team call and would like you to make anything as long as it has a digi image.
Thanks for taking the time to look. Please leave me a comment if you have the time so I can return the visit

Cherry Kisses - Crush

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. This is a very quick post as I need to get Wee Steven to nursery. Wasn't sure if he was going or not because he got his swine flu jag yesterday and he wasn't that great this morning. However, calpol sems to have done the trick and he keeps asking when its time to go.

This is the card that wouldn't go right! I went upstairs to clear the desk last night because I was determined to make a card no matter what as I refused to waste these Basic Grey Lemonade papers so...I coloured the image (Pollycraft digi image - Cherry Kisses - Crush) with watercolour pencils and stuck it on with the flowers (hobbycraft) and the sentiment (daisy & dandelion) and I actually quite like it!

I can fit it into the folowing challenges:

1. Crafty Cardmakers - Love & Romance (Image)
2. A Spoonful of Sugar - Freestyle
3. My Time To Craft - Elegant Rose (Wee Roses)
4. Stampavie & More - Love Card/Valentine
5. Cute Card Thursday - Blooming Gorgeous (Roses)

Quite good for a card that was on its way to the bin, ehh!!

Thanks for taking the time to look.

ETA: Never got round to posting as blogger wouldn't upload any pics so...here it is now - better late than never ehh!

Where is Mr Mojo?

Hi everyone. I have nothing to show you today. What a terrible blogger. Last week, I started on the Friday Sketchers Challenge and it all wentreally well untill I put the image on! Just wasn't right and nothing worked - not even usingh a different image. Obviously, it must have been the choice of papers for that particular sketch that was wrong but...I gave up and suince then, Mr Mojo seems to have gone walkabout! I've even bought a few images and spent hours blog hopping but...no sign of him yet.

I thought though that I better come on and pick up and pass on the award that was so kindly given to me by Mandy from A Sprinkling of Glitter.

I haven't been given this one before and am delighted to receive it. Now, the rules are that I must tell you all 10 things that make me really hapy and then pass this on to 10 people. So, here goes...

1. My Family
2. Crafting
3. Buying craft goodies
4. Blog Hopping
5. Reading
6. Chocolate
7. To see my children happy
8. Sunshine
9. Christmas
10. My Friends

Now, I am absolutely useless at this bit so I would like to pass this to everyone who visits my blog and would like to have this award.

This week has been really strange for me because Jack who is only 10 has gone away to school camp, Benmore. I didn't hink I would be quite as upset as I have been because Jack spends a lot of time at my mum's but, he is here every day after school and I spend most of the weekend with my mum so...it's hit me a lot harder than I expected! I even had a wee cry last night, lol! Anyway, it's only till Friday so...2 more sleeps, lol

Thanks for taking the time to look and thanks again to Mandy for my award.

Baby Girl Card

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. Quick post from me tonight as I am very tired and have had a few late nights so it's off to bed nice and early with my book!

This card has been made for five challenges:

1. Sew Many Cards Challenge Blog - 1st challenge so it's...Anything Goes;
2. Stamping for the Weekend - A Fantastic Sketch;
3. Cupcake Craft - Going Girly (definately a girly card!);
4.) ABC - L is for Layers (Plenty of them here);
5. One Stop Craft - Fancy Edges or Corners (Lots of them too).

Sew...The image is a digital stamp from Sew Many Cards and is called Baby on the Moon. It has been coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. The scalloped and plain circles have, as always, been cut with Nesties on the Bug. The papers are from the same HOTP pack as the last card I made - this time they are the Sleeping Beauty ones. Quite appropriate for this card, ehh! The wee strip down the left side is also a strip from the papers. The sentiment is done on the pc. Flowers punched with same papers and small and medium retro flower punches. Brads are Bo Bunny and the wee pearls are from my stash.

I think that's everything. At least I hope it is! I am off to bed now so...Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit. Don't forget to leave me a comment so I can visit you too.

'Just A Note...

To Say Hi.' I got my new stamp from Funky Kits on Tuesday but with Wee Steven being not very well, I've not managed to get a card made before now. I actually started it yesterday but I had Mum at the hospital for a check-up and then I had a bit of a headache last night so...I finally got it finished today.

The image is Manga Kids by Sugar Nellie and is coloured with promarkers. I am just practising with these at the moment so, you will need to bear with me, lol. The papers are from a HOTP 8x8 book called Disney Princess. These ones are actually the Snow White ones! The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated and the plain and scalloped Nesties were used with the Bug. I decided to make an easel card again since I really like this style of card.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

1.)Mojo Monday - Sketch;
2.)Crafty Cardmakers - Anything New;
3.)Passion for Promarkers - Cool Aqua and Cocoa;
4.)Charisma Cardz - Anything New;
5.)Stampavie and More - Easel Card.

Now, you will have to excuse these photos because no matter what I do, I cannot get a decent photo of this card at all. And, the colours are all wrong to. Believe me when I say that it looks much better IRL.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit. Be sure and leave me a comment so I know you've been and I can return the visit.

Friday Sketchers

I thought it was time that I made a boyish card. I've been too girly recently and that just isn't me. I like boy colours! For this one I have followed the fab sketch over at Friday Sketchers. Really enjoyed making this one.

The image is a Magnolia Edwin image. I am unsure what it's called because it was sent to me a long time ago. I have coloured it with watercolour pencils, cut it out and mounted on foam pads. The circle was cut on the Bug with the Nesties. Ribbon and cardstock are from my stash. The paper is a new one I picked up the last time I was at the craft shop. A double-sided paper by Kaiser called Rough and Tumble - Wild. Not my usual choice of papers but since I don't have many male papers, I grabbed it as soon as I saw it - really glad I did now.

Today, Wee Steven had to have his pre-school boosters. I did what I have done with the others and gave the promise of some pennies to buy a new toy after we had visited the nurse. I hadn't realised that he needed 2 jags. I also hadn't planned on the first one going wrong and half the fluid running down his arm. The nurse was very apologetic and said she had no idea what had went wrong - not really her fault. However, we now have to go through it all again in a couple of weeks since he didn't get a full dose. And...he also has to have a swine flu injection soon. My purse is going to be empty at this rate, lol. I am just waiting for him to catch the chickenpox that are being passed round the nursery now!
On a better note, he only had a wee cry going to nursery this afternoon AND...he went to his OWN bed with NO tears at all tonight. So, fingers crossed!

Anyway, I am off to catch up with NCIS now. Thanks for taking the time to visit.

Mojo Monday

Hi everyone. I hope you are all well. I am feeling rubbish I have a terrible cold and I have a very spoilt 3 year old who has a terrible cold - not a good mix, lol. Wee Steven is going through a phase just now where he hates everything - nursery, bedtime, mealtimes, bath time - EVERYTHING! Last night, he decided hedidn't want to go to bed and it took 2 1/2 hours for him to finally fall asleep and that was after I let him come into my bed. Tonight, I was very firm and I made him stay in his own bed - it took an hour of him shouting and screaming and getting up and down but he finally fell asleep. So, fingers crossed that tomorrow night won't take as long and he will finally realise that these things just have to be done whether we like it or not. And, it's a lot easier said than done to stay firm - especially when you are shattered!

Here's a wee pic of him after he'd settled - what an angel!

Anyway, enough of my rambling on. For this one, I have followed the sketch on the Mojo Monday blog. The image is a digi download from Sugar Nellie called Webknitter. I first seen it the other day whilst having a wee look at the sale over at Funky Kits ( only ordered 1 0r 2 stamps, lol) and then I seen it again over on the fabulous Jacqui's blog and she was quite right to say it would be hard to resist it so...of I went and bought it.

Now, it has finally been coloured with Twinkling H2Os and Distress Inks. I say finally because it took me all afternoon yesterday to resize it and print it. I am not very good at technical stuff on the pc so I coundn't get it to open in photoshop at first, lol. Then, I figured it out and we were off. Next, I coloured it and the shades were all wrong so...printed it again and coloured it again - wrong again. I just couldn't get the pink right. So, I gave up and started again today. I am now quite pleased with it. The papers are Basic Grey Sultry. The ribbon, gems and cardstock are all from my stash.

Thanks very much for taking the time to look and I hope I'm not too late for the challenge after all the carry on.

Charisma Cardz and A Spoonful of Sugar

Hi everyone. More snow again this morning. Snow, snow go away...come again another day, lol. I seem to have caught a terrible cold and yesterday I couldn't stop sneezing...with today being no better. Unfortunately, I have to go ad get a birthday present for the kids to give to their cousin today. Last minute as usual. I also need to buy some food or we may just starve, lol.

This card has been made for two challenges. The first being Charisma Cardz Challenge where the theme is a colour challenge this week - pink, brown, cream and toffee. And also for A Spoonful of Sugar challenge where the theme is Hearts - lots of them on the papers. I have actually followed the sketch from last week at Just Magnolia but I was too late to enter - not like me, ehh. So, the image is Sarah Kay - First Kiss and is coloured with Distress Inks. I have cut round the image and mounted it on foam pads onto the ovals which were cut with Nesties on the Bug. The corners were cut with a Bug die. The design papers are Basic Grey Bittersweet (again). The cream lace is from my stash. The fibre is papermania - I think. The flowers were punched with retro flower punches and curled round my embossing tool. The brads are Bo Bunny.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

The Sugar Bowl

Hello everyone. I hope you are all staying warm and safe in this awful weather. I know that a few weeks ago I was saying how much I love the snow but...this is getting ridiculous! It's no fun now, just really cold and icy.

Anyway, the kids went back to school on Wednesday and I have found a bit of time to make a card. I really liked the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl this time and it's been ages since I played along so I thought I'd have a go. The added challenge was to use something new which for me is the stamp.

The image is coloured with Distress Inks. The design Papers are Basic Grey and the happy birthday is a Hampton Arts stamp. I have followed the sketch on the front and made it into an easel card.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Something Beginning with 'B'

Hello everyone and a Happy New Year to you all - I hope that it's a good one. We are trying to settle back into some sort of routine in time for them all going back to school and nursery on Wednesday. I can't wait, lol. Funny, the older two haven't been that bad these holidays but Wee Steven is a handful, lol.

I have made this box for my mum. I got a new printer for Christmas and thought I would put it to some use. I would also like to enter it into the challenge over at One Stop Craft where the theme is Something Beginning with 'B'. I got the template from Splitcoast Stampers and it can be found HERE. It was really quite quick to make. I did notice that one person commented that they couldn't get the lid to fit...this was the same with me when I followed the measurements for the lid but if you change the sizes a wee bit. I did a 12x12 box and for this it is actually a quarter of a quarter inch - if that makes any sense, lol.

I used 2 pieces of purple cs and a sheet of dp with lilac through it - can't remember the name now. I used dp from a DCWV pack on the inside to matt and layer my photos. I tied it with lilac ribbon and added some flower sprigs from my stash. I wrote a small message on the inside of the lid.

Thanks for taking the time to look. Hope you like it
