Hello everyone. This is my second post today...Can you tell there is no housework getting done today, lol! I wanted to make a wee hting for Jack for his birthday to hold some treats. I decided to make a milk carton and fill it with sweets. I chose green and gold for his fav football team - Celtic, and I filled it with green and white sweets.
I knew I was going to enter it for Truly Scrumptious where the theme this week is 'Anything But A Card'. However, when I was doing some blog hopping, I found that the theme this week on Creat4Fun is 'Make A Milk Carton'...How good was that?! Don't think I'dmanage that again if I tried! I took my photos before I filled it with sweets. That's why it's still open.
Hope you like it

An Award
Hi everyone. I haven't got a card to show today. I have been busy this morning...watching a couple of fab tutorial on making flowers. First, one on Rach's blog using retro punches and the second on the Just Magnolia monthly blog, using a sizzix die, by Michelle. Then of course, I had to have a wee go at it. I tried Rach's one first as I have those punches but I think I will have to go and buy the sizzix die, lol! Bought it before from Hobbycrap but it was the wrong die and they didn't have the right one. I'm sure they had it in a wee shop at Eskbank so I might just have to nip out there today lol.
Anyway, the reson for my post is that I have received this fab award from my daughter, Kim. Kim makes some beautiful cards when she's in the mood and I am very proud of her and pleased to accept this award from her.

The rules are that I have to link to the person I received this from, which I have. Then, I have to list seven things about myself. So, here goes...not promising you'll find them interesting though...
1.) I love to read. I read anything at all...magazines, newspapers, books, etc. I read any fiction books at all, especially crime.
2.) I have absolutely no patience whatsoever...I am the least patient person I know.
3.) I am the most bad tempered person I know...next to my son and daughter, lol...they do say that children take after their parents...unfortunately, lol.
4.) My favourite place in the world is Scarborough.
5.) I love to drive...so much so that I think nothing of taking of to visit my favourite place for the weekend...I used to visit for the day before Wee Steven was born but since I don't get much sleep now, I can't manage the drive all in one day.
6.) I am addicted to chocolate. I can't have it in the house and not eat it.
7.) I like to try myu hand at making jewellery now and again.
There! Told you it wuldn't be very interesting, lol! Now, I have to pass this award onto seven people and I was going to leave this bit because it is so difficult to choose but I have decided to pass it t people whose blogs I love to read every day. I know they will have received this before but I hope they won't mind getting it again.
1.) Kath
2.) Dawny P
3.) Bev
4.) Jacqui
5.) Rach
6.) Nikki
7.) Lynne

Soccer Dragon scores five
Hello everyone! Hope you are all good and well! This is a quick post from me as Wee Steven wants me to play with his toys with him.
It was Jack's 10th birthday yesterday and we had a really nice tea party with all the family. He was really pleased with his presents and most of all with the wad of money he now has, lol! Then he went to the cinema with my mum. So, all in all a nice day was had by all. Unfortunately, you have to take the good with bad...today, I had to clean both rabbit hutches, hoover, shopping, etc.
Anyway, onto the fun stuff for a minute...This one is for five challenges:
1.) Papertake Weekly - Sketch
2.) Allsorts - Digital
3.) Stamp Something - Cute/Cuddly/Funny Animals
4.) CRAFT - Embossing
5.) Secret Crafter - Flights of Fancy
So first of all, I coloured my digital image from Dustin Pike with promarkers. and, since he is a dragon he has wings - you just can't see them in this image, lol. Hope this is ok. He is also a cute animal image. Then, following Dawny P's fantastic sketch, I set to work. The first square is embossed with the birthday words embossing folder in the Bug and then I have used Cosmic Shimmers to paint all the embossed bits (can't see much because of the image). The second square is a soccer words dp from my stash. The cs and the ribbon are also from my stash. The sentiment is computer generated and cut with circle nesties on the Bug. The wee footall boots, I drew myself.
I would also like to enter this one for the Incy Wincy Challenge. They are looking for guest desugners and have a fab picture for inspiration. Lots of gold and green and Balls. Actually, I think that's six challenges but never mind, lol!
Hope you like it. If you stop by and visit, please leave me a comment so I know you were here.

Sketch and Stash; Secret Crafter; Stamp Something
Hello everyone. I can't believe that it's been nearly a week since I posted anything. It's not that I haven't done anything...I just haven't had a chance to post what I have done! And...Wee Steven has also shown a crazy passion for card making!! He has taken over my Cosmic Shimmers, my waterbrush and most importantly...my desk! I can't get near it. His favourite question just now is 'Can I mack a card, Mum?' or 'Can I paint now?' It is really lovely to see him 'craft'. He concentrates so hard on what he is doing and is delighted with himself. He is really proud when he is handing it over to the recipient as well. Anyway, I think I will have to set him up with a blog so he can show them all off because he keeps saying 'Are you goany put it on yours blog, Mum?' .
Anyway, this card was made for three challenges but I think that I am too late for one of them now. Never mind, I'll enter it on the off chance. The challenges are:
1.) Sketch and Stash - a sketch and new, never used or neglected stash
2.) Secret Crafter - Turquoise and Brown
3.) Stamp Something - Birthday Somethings
The image is a Victoria Case digital image and is coloured with promarker pens (Oh my gosh, I hear you say). Not my usual colouring medium but I am experimenting with these and am quite liking them. Not good news for my bank balance this, lol! I have followed the sketch on Sketch and Stash, and have used my new digi image and my neglected paper - so neglected that I can't remember where it's from, lol! I have used the colour combo required for Secret Crafter and it is a birthday card (Stamp Something) for Steven's dad whose birthday it is today. The sentiment at the side reads 'For you Dad'. The sketch had flowers on which I have changed to circles and they read 'Relax...Take It Easy...It's Your Birthday...' and on the inside, it reads '...Why should today be any different from any other?'.
I would also just like to say what a fantastic service I received from Vicoria Case. Within minutes of emailing her last night, I had received an invoice, paid it and been sent my image. Absolutely fantastic.
I am quite pleased with this one. Didn't think I was going to like it because I don't like the colours or the paper but...I like it! Hope you do too! If you stop by to take a look please leave me a comment to let me know you have been. I really appreciate it and love to read them.

Papertake Weekly # 100
Hello again. Much better day here today - can get my washing dry(sad, ehh!) Hope you are all well. This card has been made for my aunt for her birthday tomorrow. I have told her not to come on so if she sees it then... too bad, lol!
I am entering this into Papertake Weekly Challenge where the theme this week is...Take Your Pick! Since it is their 100th challenge, there is a bit of a celebration going on. You choose which challenge you want to do and then enter your project in. On top of this, each member of the DT has some candy on offer! So be quick and get yours in. You have 99 challenges to choose from! I have chosen one of the wonderfully talented Dawny P's fantastic sketches. This one was for 12 January 2009 - Dawny's Sketch #6.
I have used Basic Grey Wisteria papers. The image is Patch Tilda and I have masked her so she sits on the bench. I have coloured the image with Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints and WH Smith pencils. Ribbon is from Hobbycrap. The sentiment is from a Papermania set (free in a magazine). I have added a retro punched flower to the 'proper' flower and coloured the paper with my Cosmic Shimmers to match the card. Added a spacer and mini brad to the centre. I made a dangly charm thingy, with a wee flower and some beads and attached it to the flower with jump rings.
Hope you like it. Please leave me a comment if you stop by so I know you have visited.

Friday Sketchers #65
Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. Still got that awful weather here today...one minute it's chucking it down and the next the sun is scorching us...can't win, ehh!
This one is to send to a friend of Steven's. His partner has just had a baby girl and would you believe it...all the design papers I have and, all the cards I have already made and nothing to suit a wee girl! Well, not strictly true...I had one sheet of pink paper so thank goodness for pink CS and the Bug, lol!
I have followed the fantastic sketch over at Friday Sketchers...loved it! The image is from Dimension Forth and is coloured with Twinkling H2Os and Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints. The design paper is Imaginisce - Baby Powder. Used the Baby embossing folder in the Bug. Punched a strip of card along both edges with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch, added a wee strip of the dp to it and some pink ribbon flowery stuff on top of this. The flowers are Craftwork Cards paper strips punched with a Retro flower punch and have a spacer and wee brad in the centre of them. The wee charm is a pair of feet and has been added with jump rings which means I can also enter this one into Lili of the Valley Challenge where the theme this week is Charms.
Hope you like it. If you take the time to stop by my blog please leave me a comment to let me know so I can come and visit yours.

Another One for Four!
Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. Only one more sleep until they are all back at school - YEAH! And...Wee Steven has been given an afternoon nursery place starting from 3 September so even more time for cards, lol! It will be quite strange without them all...Though I am sure I will get used to and even enjoy it quite quickly, lol!
This one has been made for four challenges:
1.) My Time to Craft - A Sketch;
2.) ABC - 'A' is for Anything goes and added option of animals;
3.) Daring Cardmakers - Lace;
4.) Pollycraft Monday - Favourite Things.
The image is Em praying from the Childs Prayer Collection over at Digital Pencil Too. I thought this was gorgeous when I first seen it and had to have it. I have coloured her with watercolour pencils and also Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints. The design papers are actually from a HOTP book - Disney Princess 8x8 papers. I have had these for absolutely ages now and this is only the 2nd time I've had them out! The cardstock is from my stash as is the ribbon. The flowers are ones bought from Craft at Home mixed with paper punched retro ones and also a button from my stash added to the centre. I have added a wee handmade charm thingy to the ribbon. And the top strip has been punched with my new Martha Stewart doily lace punch.
So, I have followed the sketch, have added lace, have used my favourite colour combo and my favourite punch and...Em has her rabbit with her for the animal option.
I am very pleased with this one. Hope you like it too.
*ETA: I am now entering this one into an extra challenge. A brand new challenge blog over at Crafty Cardmakers. I was just having a wee look on my docrafts gallery and I had a comment on this one telling me I could enter. The theme this week is Blossoms. The DT cards look great and thanks very much to Vicki for letting me know.

A Combo
Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. The weather here is awful and this always makes me feel terrible too. Hate the rain! Not that I've got time for sitting in the sun anyway this week. Wee Steven's 3rd birthday tomorrow so I am quite busy with shopping and that dreaded 'H' word for family visiting, lol!
Front of bookmark:
And the back:
This card was made for 2 challenges originally. But is now being entered into 4: Just Magnolia - Friends; Creative Inspirations - Tags; Stampavie & More - Bookmark; Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Not A Card. And, although I never made it in time for Martine's sketch.....I checked this morning and it still qualifies because this week the theme is 'Friends' - Yeah! I have made the optional tag also. And, although this is attached to a card, there is still the added bonus of a bookmark which is also not a card - if that makes sense so, then it qualifies for Simon Says and Stampavie.
Anyway, must dash off so I hope you like it.

Sketch Saturday and Stamp with Fun
Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. This card is for two challenges. I have followed the fabulous sketch over at Sketch Saturday and made a birthday card to fit in with the Birthday theme over at Stamp with Fun. I needed a birthday card for the wee boy next door to us and I have had this stamo and paper for absolutely donkeys and never used it. So, out it came... but I don't think I'll be using it aain for a while. I'm not too keen on it... However, I do like the end result of the card.
Anyway, I have colourd him with my usual watercolour pencils. The papers are from Dovecraft. The CS and ribbon are from my stash. The sentiment is a wee set I got free with a magazine issue. The number 7 is cut by hand.
Hope you like it

Terrible Blogger Does Friday Sketchers
Hello everyone! I have been a very bad blogger recently My mum has been off work for a fortnight and we have been enjoying the gorgeous weather this second week. Back to normal now, ehh! We have been all over the place. Started off with Berwick-upon-Tweed for the day on Sunday. Then, on Monday, off to Stonehaven for a visit to the most gorgeous castle - Dunnottar Castle. On Tuesday, off to Bo'ness Motor Museum. Then... On Wednesday, my wonderful children decided that they wanted to go camping so...off we went to Lauder for an overnight camping trip. Great fun...Blooming freezing during the night, lol! And we spent the day in Melrose on Thursday.Been quite nice really though. Then, on Sunday, our Jack dragged us off to Jedburgh to visit the Mary Queen of Scots museum and the Castle Jail.
Now, normality has returned. And, I have finally managed to make a card.
This one is for Friday Sketchers. I have used a new clear stamp which I bought from my favourite shop, Craft at Home. Cut the circles on my Bug with Nesties and ran the back semi-circle through the Bug also with my new embossing folder - Baby. The paper is Frances Meyer - It's a Boy. The blue ribbon says - It's a boy and have added a wee pair of feet to it with jump rings. The CS is from my stash. The flowers are paper from Craftwork Cards and retro flower punches with a wee sticky backed gem in the centre.
Hope you like it. I am quite pleased with it.
