A couple of Awards...

And, a couple of apologies. I actually have 2 awards to post today and although I don't always pass these on when I get them, I do appreciate them very much and always post them on my blog. However, this time I have taken forever to do so. So, I am sorry to both the lovely people who thought to give them to me. I just haven't been organised recently but, I am getting back on track now and...better late than never, ehh1

So, the first one I received from my fabulous team mate Dianne way back on 20th October!

Dianne is lovely to work with and makes some fantastic cards and she very kindly passed this onto all her team mates at Crafty Catz. Thanks very much for thinking of us all, Dianne. The rules of this one are to say thank you and pass it to 5 friends. So, the five I chose for this one are:

Ok, the next one was very kindly passed to me by Claire, who is a regular follower of my blog and leaves lovely comments quite often. Thanks very much to Claire for thinking of me, too.

An Award

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well and getting organised for the jolly wee chubby mans visit! I am, as always...NOT, lol! No, actually, this year I am not bad on the shopping side of things but I haven't made my cards yet and I haven't got enough treat bags or boxes made and...I certainly don't have any wrapping done yet. I was meant to be getting the tree done this weekend but, am off shopping tomorrow and it's still in the attic. Never mind, I'll get there.

Anyway, I was very honoured to have received this award from the wonderful Rachel. Rachel makes the most gorgeous cards and she is only 14 years old. I love it when young people put their talents to good use. You really must visit Rachels blog if you haven't already.

So, the rules of this award are that you should copy it to your blog - done that, link back to the person you received it from - done that, you must state 7 interesting facts about yourself - really difficult...I am an extremely boring person and pass it on to seven other bloggers who you think deserve it.

Now, as I said, I love to receive these...It makes it all worthwhile to know that someone enjoys seeing your creations...However, I am useless at doing these things but...I'll give it a try.

1. I love to read - anything at all - and must read every night before I go to sleep.
2. I am totally addicted to blog hopping - it's getting serious!
3. I love to make boxes and bags and things.
4. I hate to exercise.
5. I am the least patient person I know.
6. I am the world's worst singer - well, after John and Edward...I'm not sure!

An Award

Hi everyone. I haven't got a card to show today. I have been busy this morning...watching a couple of fab tutorial on making flowers. First, one on Rach's blog using retro punches and the second on the Just Magnolia monthly blog, using a sizzix die, by Michelle. Then of course, I had to have a wee go at it. I tried Rach's one first as I have those punches but I think I will have to go and buy the sizzix die, lol! Bought it before from Hobbycrap but it was the wrong die and they didn't have the right one. I'm sure they had it in a wee shop at Eskbank so I might just have to nip out there today lol.
Anyway, the reson for my post is that I have received this fab award from my daughter, Kim. Kim makes some beautiful cards when she's in the mood and I am very proud of her and pleased to accept this award from her.

The rules are that I have to link to the person I received this from, which I have. Then, I have to list seven things about myself. So, here goes...not promising you'll find them interesting though...

1.) I love to read. I read anything at all...magazines, newspapers, books, etc. I read any fiction books at all, especially crime.
2.) I have absolutely no patience whatsoever...I am the least patient person I know.
3.) I am the most bad tempered person I know...next to my son and daughter, lol...they do say that children take after their parents...unfortunately, lol.
4.) My favourite place in the world is Scarborough.
5.) I love to drive...so much so that I think nothing of taking of to visit my favourite place for the weekend...I used to visit for the day before Wee Steven was born but since I don't get much sleep now, I can't manage the drive all in one day.
6.) I am addicted to chocolate. I can't have it in the house and not eat it.
7.) I like to try myu hand at making jewellery now and again.

There! Told you it wuldn't be very interesting, lol! Now, I have to pass this award onto seven people and I was going to leave this bit because it is so difficult to choose but I have decided to pass it t people whose blogs I love to read every day. An award

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. I have been very busy today. We, my mum and I, were away to the Artstamps Scotland Exhibition. I have to say that I wasn't really looking forward to going as last year was absolutely awful. I think there was only about 5 or six stands there and I didn't hold out much hope for this year being much better. But, I am glad to say, I was wrong! It was quite an improvement and we met quite a few people we knew and also some lovely people who were there as exhibitors. And, as it was just the two of us, I actually really enjoyed myself. A very pleasant, stress free day, me thinks! I picked up a few wee bits and pieces and I will hopefully get a chance to play tomorrow. Will hopefully be able to combine a few challenges and have something to show you in a day or two.

Anyway, the reason for this post was not to blether on about a lot of rubbish today but to say a huge big thank you to a wonderful blogging friend who has very kindly given me an award. Thank you so much, Helen!

This award is to show an appreciation of a persons blog support and I am absolutely delighted to receive it. I love to be given these and I also appreciate all of the kindness and the support that Helen has herself given to me. I would like to pass this award onto just one other blogging friend. I am delighted to receive this award from Lorraine. It is always nice to know that other people appreciate the work we do. I love it when I get something like this or even just when someone takes the time to leave a wee comment. It gives great encouragement and makes it all worthwhile. Thank you so much, Lorraine.

I was delighted to receive this award from Lorraine. It is always such a pleasure to know that other people appreciate the work we all do. Yes, it is fun and relaxing - well, supposed to be relaxing - to make cards but it is always lovely to know that other people appreciate them as well.

I think most of us are happy just to show our creations, make new friends and receive a wee bit of encouragement to keep us going. I now have the very difficult task of pasing this award onto 8 people.
