Carol Singing Snowmen
For this Christmas Card, I started with a square base card and covered it with the gorgeous snowflake paper from Carol Wilson Fine Arts. The image was coloured with inktense pencils and watered with lots of stickles added and mounted onto purple card with all corners rounded. The flower is Prima.

Another Christmas Card!
For this card, I used some silver pearl card and made it a 13x13cm square. I stamped the image with white pigment ink onto black card and then, using a glue pen, went over all the swirls and then sprinkled it with silver, fine glitter. I have mounted it onto same colour card as base and rounded the corners. The ribbon across the middle is Anita's and the small snowflakes are peel-offs. The image is from Dimension Forth. Hope you all like it. Thought I would go for an unusual one for a change.

Honey's Snowman
This card is for my sister for Christmas. I can now safely post this lol. I have used a piece of card from a QVC Kit. I mounted the Honey's snowman image, from Sugar Nellie by Elisabeth Bell, onto lilac mirror card and coloured with inktense and watered. Lots of pink stickles added. The snowflakes are from K&CO. The photo does not do this card justice. It is much nicer in real life.

Whiff of Joy - Herb with Christmas Pudding
I received my wonderful gift from Katharina over at Whiff of Joy on Tuesday and I got straight to using it. Herb with Christmas Pudding is probably my favourite stamp at the moment. He is so easy to stamp and fabulous to colour. Thank you once again to Katharina.
For these cards, I have used the same layout, greeting and image on all three. I have only changed the colours. Really enjoyed making these. They were quick and easy and I loved the way they turned out.
This first one was made with Doodlebug and DCWV winter kit in a stack papers and some sparkly trim from Papermania. The image is inktense pencils watered, as are the images on the other two cards. I have used a glue pen and added silver glitter to the swirls on Herb. The greeting is printed on the pc and mounted onto some blue mirror card. The greeting reads "Oh, bring us some figgy pudding..." on inside and "and a cup of good cheer" on the inside.
For this one, I have used a spotty paper and one with Christmas greetings on it. I can't remember what they are called but I think something about figgy pudding, funnily enough. The ribbon is Anita's. Image and greeting is mounted onto green mirror card.
This one is a paper from K&Co with the same ribbon as the last one.

I AM A WINNER
Wow! How lucky am I? I am absolutely delighted today as I have won some gorgeous candy over at Whiff of Joy. Katharina is very generously hosting an advent calendar and every day a new window opens and another lucky winner is chosen. I am the lucky winner chosen today and will soon receive the fabulous Herb with Bird. I am also spending my Christmas money on these stamps as I adore them. This excellent prize means that I can now choose a doifferent one to add to my orde. It is just so difficult to choose between them though. Thank you so much for this fab prize.

Sketch #28 - Sketch Saturday
Todays card is my entry to Sketch Saturday Challenge #28. A gorgeous sketch from Mariska. I started with square base card and covered one half with 'Baby Powder - Hiccups' and the other half with 'Baby Powder - Tiny Tantrum' both by Imaginisce. I used some white ric-rac to cover the join. The image is Forever Friends coloured with inktense pencils and cut with oval nesties in the bug. This is mounted onto pink card and stuck to base card with foam pads. The flowers are from WH Smith, as are the brads. The sentiment is from a K&Co kit my mum got from QVC as a gift for me about 3 years ago, I think. This is fixed to card with eyelets from my stash. Really enjoyed making this card. I will probably use this sketch lots in the future.

Another one for Whiff of Joy
This one is another one for Whiff of Joy Design Team Call. This one is Herb with Bird coloured with water colour pencils. I have mounted the image onto silver mirror card and used foam pads to mount onto main card. The papers are all Dovecraft Christmas Papers and the snowflakes are K&Co. The small snowman is Herb coloured same as main image on shrink plastic. Sorry about the quality of the photo.

WHIFF OF JOY DESIGN TEAM CALL
At last I have used my new stamps. This one, Lizzie with muff, is my favourite. I thought I would enter the Whiff of Joy Design Team Call. Katharina is looking for a guest designer. You need to make a card using the sketch and 1 Whiff of Joy stamp to enter. Not that I expect to win but I thought I would have a wee go anyway. I have colored the image with water colour pencils and cut around her. I next ran a small piece of white card through the bug with the snowflakes embossing folder. I attached Lizzie to this and mounted it onto a shiny grey and then black card. The strip across the bottom is DCWV The Christmas Stack, as is the base paper, and the strip down the side is pink card put in the bug with swiss dots folder. The greeting is from a sheet I got last year. The flowers are Paper Cellar MIY Range with a pink brad from my stash. So, I will now keep my fingers crossed.

Wedding Card
This card is one I was asked to make. The image is Forever Friends coloured with inktense and watercolour pencils, with some stickles added. It was mounted onto silver mirror card and the corners were rounded with a punch. The wording is done with silver peel-offs on white card mounted same as image with corners rounded again. Both of these are mounted onto a square of backing paper with words on (devotion;love;passion;etc) with a piece of ribbon on that says 'to love and to cherish'. The paper is slightly smaller than the base card and I have cut two corners of silver mirror card on the bug and finished off with these. Unfortunately the paper was stuck to the card before I checked the name of it lol.
I hope the girl who wanted it likes it!

WHAT A WEEKEND
Have bought lots of lovely goodies recently and not managed to make anything. On Friday night, my daughter was in shower when it went freezing cold... Boiler had decided to pack in. Not to worry, it was only -2 outside. Finally got a plumber on Saturday morning after some phoning around. What happened to wanting to earn money??? He said it needs a new part... will arrive on Monday or Tuesday!! Wonderful- we'll just freeze in the meantime! Plumber phones at lunch on Tues and says he will come in afternoon. Five hours later, he phones again to say he's not managed to pick up the part and the merchant is now closed. He will come first thing in the morning. Ha!! It's now 11.15 and we are still sitting with scarves and gloves on in front of the fire. (Thank goodness for gas fires, ehh). On top of the house being freezing and having to go visit my mum to have showers, both boys have came down with viral infections over the weekend! Could things get any worse?!! Oh Yes!! I managed to smash the inside pane of my sitting room window last night whilst fixing the curtain pole! Had to phone a glazier out at 11.30 at night so it was 3 am before I got to bed only to have to fight with my youngest for some covers for 4 hours then get back up to put fire on for them all getting up!!!
Such a boring post but at least I have had a moan and feel slightly better! I suppose 'Things Can Only Get Better' lol!!!!
Hopefully I will get some crafting done today and that will cheer me up.
Don't forget to enter the Whiff of Joy Advent Blog Candy. Join in here!
Also, Vicki over at Stamped Smiles has the most fabulous candy ever! Check it out here!
I think I will just sit here and look at everybody else's gorgeous work today. That will definitely cheer me up!

New Stamps
Hello everyone. I don't have anything to show this morning. I have been busy doing household things - yuck! My new WOJ stamps arrived yesterday, Herb with Bird, Lizzie with Muff and Willow with cookies. I can't wait to play with them. Unfortunately, I have to get something to mount them first. Hopefully, I will get some E-Z mount at the Creative Crafts & Gifts for Christmas show at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh today. I hope to come back with some more goodies today also. I stopped smoking nearly two weeks ago and I have saved some money to spend. So, no card for now, I am away to buy some new toys, lol!

Friday Sketchers Challenge 29
There is a fun sketch over at Friday Sketchers. Beatrix, DT for Germany, has designed it for us. As usual, the DT cards are all fab. The A5 card is covered with spotty paper. Then two rectangles are cut and fixed on. One is in red paper and one in spotty paper. Next, is my fav stamp at the moment, 'Christmas Kisses' designed by Elisabeth Bell for Sugar Nellie. Coloured, as always, with inktense pencils. I have also added cream Flower Soft and some crystal stickles. The wavy strip of red card has been run through the bug with the swiss dots embossing folder. I have punched some holly from the scraps of paper and added stickles to this also. The greeting is from Craftwork Cards. I think I may have too many spots here but, never mind!

Sketch Challenge SK112208
SKETCH CHALLENGE SK112208
I have been getting lost on the web again and I have just found the Paper Craft Planet site. I loved this sketch. It was so simple to work with and still managed to produce a lovely result. Since I liked the result I thought I would take part in the sketch challenge.
I started with a white, square card which I covered with Snowy Jo - Jingle Baubles paper by 'imaginisce'. Next, I cut a rectangle of Snowy Jo - Snow Soiree paper and fixed this across the top half of the card. The image is 'Christmas Kisses' designed by Elisabeth Bell for Sugar Nellie Stamps. As always, it is coloured with inktense pencils. I cut this with my oval nesties in the bug. The scalloped oval behind the image is the largest of the set and I cut 2 halves of the red and green sheets of card from the DCWV Christmas Cardstock Stack. I tied some sparkly, silver trim from Papermania round the middle and mounted the ovals onto foam pads. The small greeting was one from my stash.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #25
This card is my entry for Sketch Saturday Challenge #25. This was a brilliant sketch and I loved it. I will probably be using it a fair bit in the future. Really enjoyed making this card and I was quite pleased with the end result. I am going to give this to my youngest son. Started with a square base card and covered with green paper from Paper Adventures, added two strips across top and bottom with Spotty paper from Paper Adventures. These were from a QVC kit a couple of years ago so I am not sure what they are called. Ran a strip of white card through the bug with the snowflakes embossing folder and fixed down the side. The image is a new Sugar Nellie one called 'Trimming the Tree', which was designed by Elisabeth Bell. I coloured it with inktense pencils and mounted onto red card. I added four green brads from my stash to the corners. The round greeting is from Craftwork Cards and the small square greeting was done on the pc. All corners were rounded with a punch.

Sarah Kay Birthday Card
This card is for my daughters friends birthday. It was a last minute card. She came home from school at 4.15pm and asked for a card and present for the friend and said she needed it for 5.30pm. Don't you just love teenagers?!!! The image was one that I got from ebay a while back. I had coloured it for a previous card and it didn't go with the papers I wanted to use. So, as I cannot throw anything out, it has been sitting around waiting for me to use it. The papers are DCWV Pocket full of Posies Stack and some pearl card. Image is mounted onto pearl card and then foam pads. The ribbon is from a qvc christmas kit I bought recently. The greeting is from Craftwork Cards. The sketch is an old one from Sketch Saturday (I think).

Another card for Grandad
This is the card that I made for the kids to give my dad for his birthday. It's more of a younger persons image but never mind. I have started with a white, square base card. The image is coloured with usual inktense pencils and watered. It's then mounted onto some blue card and the corners rounded. I mounted this onto a white sheet which I ran through the bug using the music embossing folder and mounted onto blue card again. I stuck it all onto base card and added some black music notes which were cut with the bug and music dies.
Birthday Card For Dad
Hello everyone! I'm sorry for being a terrible blogger recently. Just when I was starting to do well at keeping it up-to-date, and then it all goes to pot. I have been very busy trying to get the cards done for my Christmas orders and therefore, I haven't had time to do much. Anyway, they are all done now so, it's back to normal for a while. This card is one that I made for my Dads birthday. The papers are from dovecraft, I think. A very simple card. I covered the base A4 card with the papers. The boot is stamped and then coloured with inktense pencils and watered. It is then mounted onto latte coloured card and mounted with foam pads onto the base card. The message on the front, which reads 'It's your birthday. Time to...' is done on my pc and mounted the same way as the boot. And finally, the message inside is done on the pc and stuck with some double-sided tape and reads 'Give another year the boot'.

Friday Sketchers Challenge 23
This is my entry for Friday Sketchers Challenge 23. I loved the sketch and will use it again and again. I have used a double sided paper from Imaginisce. Its called Baby Powder - Oopsie Daisy. I have covered the square base card with one side of the paper and cut 2 half circle shapes from the other side. The Sarah Kay image is coloured with Sakura Glaze pens and inktense pencils. I have used an Anita's sticky ribbon along the bottom. The oval is cut from Nesties with Cuttlebug and I have stamped Happy Day on it with a mini greeting from Inkadinkado clear stamp set - Lots o' Pots. This is the first Sarah Kay image I have done and I am quite pleased with the way the card has turned out.

PINKS AND GREENS
This is a card I have made for my friends daughters 1st birthday and also as my entry to Challenge #20 on A Spoonful of Sugar. The challenge this week is 'Pink and Green'. This is the first girly card I have made, usually it is blues and greens, and I am quite pleased with the way it has turned out, apart from when I got carried away with the glitter! Still not sure if I am going to add a number 1 to it yet. We'll see.
I covered a square base card with DCWV Nanas Kids paper and then I added some pink stickles to the centre of each flower on the paper. Next, I stamped the forever friends image and coloured with my usual inktense pencils. I layered this onto pink then green card and added to side of base card with foam pads. The flower and banner are from a K&Co sticker pack. The flower has been outlined in pink and green stickles and I have printed 'Happy Birthday' message on banner. The corners of the image are stickers also and the dots on them have been stickled too. I have added a pink ribbon with bow to finish.

Friday, 10 October 2008
Hello everyone. This card was one I made for Cute Card Thursday challenge but I never got round to taking the photo. Anyway, never mind, I have stamped, once again, Elzybells little mouse and coloured with inktense pencils. I added crystal stickles to the fur on his santa hat and I mounted him onto red card and rounded the corners off. The 'Night before Chrismas' was stamped in black and mounted the same way. I put forever friends holly paper on base cardand added image. Next, I tied some green ribbon in a bow at the top and placed the verse on foam pads to look like it was hanging from the bow.
I am hoping to take part in some challenges but that will depend on how long Steven, 2, decides to sleep for.

This card is for the Tilda & Co challenge 38 which is a sketch challenge. Since I didn't have a lot of time, this is a very quick card. Covered base card with some blue snowflake/star paper (not sure which). Coloured tilda image with inktense pencils and mounted onto blue card and paper which were cut with oval nesties in my cuttlebug. Tied some blue organza ribbon down the side to finish off.

CHALLENGE COMBO
I am at last adding some of my own cards and taking part in a couple of challenges. Ive been meaning to do this for a long time but I am either too busy with the kids or too busy being nosy at everybodys blogs.
This card is for the Sketch Saturday Challenge #18 and also for the Stamp Something Challenge.
You will have to try and ignore my terrible photography skills. I covered my base card with Holiday Joy Mini Dots by Paper Adventures. I used Elzybells stamped mouse in hat image (not sure of proper name for this one) and coloured in with inktense pencils and water brushed. I added some crystal stickles and them layered onto red card. I then done the same for the small images at the bottom which are a mini Christmas pud and an Anitas greeting. I finished of with some red organza ribbon.
