The Karma Award:
These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award.
I was delighted to receive this award from Lorraine. It is always such a pleasure to know that other people appreciate the work we all do. Yes, it is fun and relaxing - well, supposed to be relaxing - to make cards but it is always lovely to know that other people appreciate them as well.
I think most of us are happy just to show our creations, make new friends and receive a wee bit of encouragement to keep us going. I now have the very difficult task of pasing this award onto 8 people. There are so many out there who should receive it and this is one of the reasons it has taken me so long to pass this on - sorry again Lorraine.
Anyway, here goes. The bloggers I would like to pass this onto are:
1.) My Daughter, Kimmie, who is an excellent crafter for her age and whose work I love to look at.
2.) My Mum, Lynne, who again makes lovely cards but never thinks they are good enough - stop pretending, lol!
3.) Kath, who keeps me smiling and gives great inspiration, always making something different and individual.
4.) Bev, who is the reason that I started blogging in the first place and makes the most faulous creations.
5.) Helen, whose blog I have only recently discovered and one I really enjoy.
6.) Claudia, who again makes fab cards and provides lots of inspiration.
7.) Joey, again - brilliant work and also keeps me laughing.
8.) For the last person, I would like anyone who thinks that they deserve this award (remember and read what it says) to stop by and collect it then pass it round to 8 new people.
Thank you so much again, Lorraine and thank you to all who make me laugh and inspire me.
Hugs

Two Challenge Combo
Good Morning everyone! I have been a terrible blogger recently. I am really sorry but I have been very busy with the family and the new house.
Anyway, this card is for Just Magnolia Week 2 and Sketch Saturday #48. Over at Just Magnolia, the challenge is a colour combo - 'Pink and Green' and at Sketch Saturday, a fab sketch by Jo - I think!
Now, when I seen the sketch, I thought, ' Oh - need to have a go at this one'. And, when I seen the colour challenge, I thought, 'Oh No'. I don't do colour challenges - hate them. However, I decided I would give it a go and I thought I would combine them since having a sketch to work with would help me with the colour theme. And...I absolutely loved it. It was great fun to make and I am really really pleased with result.
The image is obviously Tilda, I'm unsure of the right name, I got it from ebay a while back. She is coloured with distress inks, stickles on her wings and cut out and mounted with foam pads onto the card after all the bits were in place. The papers are Basic Grey 'Sultry'. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy. I punched the paper strips with a Fiskars Threading Water punch. The ribbon is a string of flowers from my mums stash. The roses are from Hobbycraft. I have added Flower Soft to Tilda's hair and the flowerrs in her hand. I also added a ring of Flower Soft to the oval shape round the sentiment. I carried the sketch over to the inside.
This is quite a girly card for me but I love it. Hope you like it too
Can I also say a big thank you to Lorraine for the lovely award she has given me. I am sorry that it has taken me so long to pick this up. I will pop on later today to show it and pass it on. Thank you very much Lorraine
Hugs

Sugar Bowl Challenge #8 - Tiets sketch #2
Well, this week, I was determined I was joining in with this one, lol! Every day, I do lots of blog hopping and say that I am going to do this challenge and that one and Inever seem to get round to them all. The Sugar Bowl is a fab blog and since week one, I have said that I am going to join in the fun but I haven't managed it until now - that's as long as I'm not too late! Hope not!
Once again, everything that COULD go wrong with this one DID! The image was too large, the sentiment was wrong AND, when I went to do the inside the whole bl***y thing was upside down. So, no inside until I fix the front to another card - then, I will carry the sketch through since it's such a fab sketch. Bit complex but fun. Thanks Tiets!
And now, onto the card. The papers are K & Co. I think they are Mckenna but not too sure as I have half of one and half of a second 12x12 pack mixed together and no front covers. Sorry. The image is Sugar Nellie 'Penpal' coloured with watercolour pencils, metallic watercolour pencils and Twinkling H2Os. I got this from my daughter for Mothers Day. It was one I had been after for ages and typically, that's me just got round to using it! Worth the wait, me thinks! She is gorgeous, my daughter too, lol! Card stock is from my stash and I have left the sentiment strip blank so I can adapt it to suit the recipient.
Hope you like it

Friday Sketchers #48
Hi everyone! How nice and peaceful it is around here today. I better remember and take the flags back down before the kids get out of school, lol! My card today is for Friday Sketchers #48 - a sketch by Kristine and a fab one at that. This card has been a nightmare. I first made it and didn't matt and layer the bits so I didn't like the result So, I thought I would cheat and take it apart and fix it. HA! I ripped all the papers and bent the card - grrrr! So, I gave up and started from scratch! Just as well I loved the sketch and these papers or I think I would just have given up.
The image is new stamp set from Personal Impressions coloured with watercolour and inktense pencils. The DPs are '3 Bugs In A Rug - Snips and Snails' range. They are double-sided and are called 'Turtles', '123' and 'Little Prince'. The CS and the spanner and screwdriver embellishments are from my stash. The text is my bad handwriting. Ovals are cut on the Bug with Nesties.
I have carried the sketch through to the inside as well.
Hope you like it. Any comments are appreciated.

Just Magnolia! Week 1 - A Sketch For You
Hi everyone. What a lovely day it is here today. I have been off to Hobbycraft for a few wee bits n bobs. After seeing the gorgeous card that Bev made the other day, I thought I would have a wee shot at the challenge over at the new Just Magnolia Challenge Blog. A brilliant sketch designed by Donalda and what a fabulous prize is on offer as a one-off to celebrate the launch of the new blog. Make sure you pop over and have a look and join in with the fun.
I was in Perth again yesterday and bought one or two things from Stampaholics. I got two gorgeous Tilda stamps and some new Scalloped Square Nesties. This image is one of the Tilda's coloured with watercolour pencils. Design Papers are double sided ones from My Mind's Eye. They are the Bloom & Grow range - 'Fresh Flowers' and 'Little Blossom'. The flowers are punched from the same DP's and the small brads are from my stash. The sentiment is from a new stamp set by Personal Impressions that I picked up from Hobbycraft today.

The inside is fairly plain. Just some scalloped squares of Design Papers, cut and embossed on the Bug.
I really enjoyed making this one and working with this sketch. Hope you like it.
I love to read any comments that you like to leave.

Late Again!
Hi everyone. First of all you will have to excuse the poor photo. It is realy dull and horrible here and I can't get a decent photo at all. Secondly, this is another late card! I really liked the sketch by Dawny P over at Papertake Weekly and thought I would have a go. Unfortunately, I set the card aside to dry and then forgot about it till Easter Day. And, yes, I still had time to enter but I forgot I had made it for a challenge, lol! I am using the excuse that I have too much to do with repairing and decorating the house and nothing to do with the fact that I am going senile very early in life, lol!
Anyway, the card! Nice foil design paper - can't remember the name. Image is Tilda with Easter Egg coloured with watercolour pencils and stickles added to wings. CS and gems from my stash and sentiment is from pc.
Hope you like it. Any comments are appreciated

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #27 - Sketch
This week over at Secret Crafter, there is a fab sketch by Donna to try out. It was a lovely sketch to work with. I haven't added the flowers at the corner of the images as this card is for my son and Im not sure he would appreciate them, lol!
I have used Old Macdonald papers again and this time, the goat from my new stamps by Ollyfant. He is, as usual, coloured with watercolour pencils. Ribbon is also Old Macdonald. CS and rub-ons from my stash.
The inside:
Hope you like it. If you stop by to take a look please leave a comment so I can return the visit.

Happy Easter and Late Cutie Sunday Gone Wrong
Hello everyone and a very Happy Easter to you all! I hope everyone has a lovely day tomorrow - or today, lol! (Very late post). This card was for Cutie Sunday but it was too late. And, I couldn't get the sketch right because my image was a rectangle and my card was a square.
Anyway, the papers used are Old MacDonald papers. The image is an Ollyfant image and is coloured with watercolour pencils. Bought these stamps at the weekend and I think they are really cute. The CS is from my stash as are the rub-ons. The ribbon is Old Macdonald to match the DP's.
I have made the inside similar to the front.
Hope you like it!

Sketch Saturday Challenge #45
Hi everyone! This card is for the Sketch Saturday Challenge which is a fab sketch by Tracie. Lovely to work with but then I realised that the image I had chosen was the wrong way round so, I have had to rotate the sketch a bit.
The image is a Sarah Kay one that I bought from Ebay a while back, coloured with water colour pencils. The papers are, once again, Basic Grey - Gypsy. The flower, brad and gems are from my mums stash.
Hope you like it

Truly Scrumtious Challenge #4 - Flower Power
Thought I'd join in with the challenge over at Truly Scrumptious Blog which is a fab sketch and to go crazy with flower embellishments. I thought I'd ink up my new Tilda for this one and use it as an easter card for my daughter. Fat chance - she decidxed she would make her easter cards at the same time. So, it was then going to my sister - and... she seen it too, lol! Anyway, since I haven't added the greeting yet and I am in desperate need of a thank you card, it now has a purpose!
Papers are Basic Grey - gyspy again. Image is coloured with copics (still don't like these) and distress inks with stickles on wings. Circles and ovals were cut on the Bug with Nesties. Flowers are punched and brads and ribbon are from stash.
Hope you like it

50th Birthday - New Penny Black Stamp
Hello all! What a lovely day it is - let's hope it stays that way. We are off to the farm to see all the lovely lambs. I went shopping yesterday to Perth so I could visit Stampaholics and spend some of my birthday pennies! What a lovely shop - so many goodies and such a lovely woman working there. I got 2 6x6 BG paper pads - Bittersweet and Gypsy, a new Penny Black stamp, some gems, some Mickey Mouse stickers to keep my son quiet for a wee bitty longer, lol, and a new Tilda stamp - going to try that out today. So, since I seem to have been buying new things but only using my old stash, I thought I better make something with my new stuff.
I have made this card for my partner to give his mum for her 50th birthday. I have coloured the image with Watercolour Pencils and Distress Inks. The papers are my new Gypsy ones and the cardstock is from my stash. The flowers are once again punched from glossy paper (Craftwork Cards paper strip packs), joined with a small brad and stuck with foam pads.
Used leftover paper inside and printed a simple greeting on the pc - was 11pm when I was still doing this.

I am really pleased with the way this turned out. I debated with myself for ages about this stamp, thinking it was a bit expensive - especially since I had spent £40 in Hobbycraft the day before. Then my addiction won and I bought it, lol! It was birthday money anyway! Glad I gave in!

Double Challenge Card
Hi everyone. This card has been made following the fabulous sketch over on Charisma Cardz Challenge - Challenge #13 - sketch challenge, and also fits the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is Easter. The Penny Black image is coloured with Distress Inks. The first time I have used this image which is one of the clear stamp set I bought recently - 'Garden Friends' - I think! I have ran a piece of green CS throught he Bug using the Swiss Dots Folder. The DP is . The flowers are punched from glossy papers and stuck together with small brads and mounted on foam pads. I added some gems to finish.
The inside has a strip of DP punched with Fiskars punch and a computer printed Easter Verse on pink and green CS.
Hope you like it

Hamish Fixing
Hi everyone. First of all, please ignore my terrible photography skills. I don't know what was wrong but I could not get a decent photo of this card at all. It's much nicer in real life - honestly! This card is the one that I made for last weeks Charisma Cardz Challenge - Favourite Things and I never got round to posting it in time. Hamish Fixing Tractor by Sugar Nellie has to be my most favourite stamp. My two year old loves to fix things and when he seen this stamp he was very excited. He loves to 'help' when we are crafting and often says "Wanna make a picture for mine's Daddy".
I haven't added a greeting yet but I think this one can be for Wee Steven to give his Daddy for Father's Day. A bit early but at least we'll be prepared this year, lol!
The image is coloured with Distress Inks, the design papers are Boxer by Basic Grey and the cardstock is from my mum's stash, lol! The sketch is an old one from Whiff of Joy Challenge and created by Katharina.
Hope you like it!

Daisy and Dandelion
I must get some of these new stamps! I have tried but every time I go to my local craft shop they are sold out. It was the same with the Forever Friends ones. Anyway, I am going to order them on the net because, I seen a card that Carly has made with them here and I think they are lovely. Also, Erica, the woman who designed them has a blog here. So, pop over and take a look at both.

My Birthday Cards
Hi everyone! I wanted to show off these gorgeous card that I received for my birthday on Wednesday.
The first one is from my sister:
The last is from my mum:
I thought these were lovely and that a lot of effort was put into making these and I wanted to show them off to everyone!
Once again, Kimberley sent a lovely one too but I will let her show this on her own blog - just don't hold your breath waiting for it, lol!
I will try and pop back later with a card that I made for the Charisma Card Challenge last week - favourite things - but sadly, never got round to posting in time.
Hugs
